That's what one of the assistants at the allergist's office told me yesterday when she saw me nursing 10 month old DS (who looks about as big as a toddler).
We were at the allergist trying to find out what the source of DS's rash was and we were waiting for the doctor to come in to the room to meet with us.
As were waiting, DS wanted to nurse.
The door was wide open. Of course, I didn't care.
An older woman walks by and looks in. Then she says to me, "I breastfed my son until he was two, and my other son until he was 18 months. I could have done it longer but I stopped. Those boys would still be nursing now if they could but they're your age (I'm 37! ). Anyway, you do it for as long as you can and don't let anyone bust your chops about it. It's the best thing for the baby!"
Made my day!
