I'm not pregnant anymore!

My baby is here!!!!

Born yesterday morning (May 5th...41w3d) at 10:13 am into my own hands! Bigger than his siblings, my boy weighed in at 9lbs 12 oz and 23 inches long!

After he was born, we saw the huge, true knot in his cord (no decels or any suggestions of anything during labor, however.)

I'll post a more detailed birth story later.

We *finally* just got internet at the new house last night, so I can finally get online and check in and update. I'm so sorry this has taken so long - there were some issues on the isp's end, of course - and I can't wait to read up on how everyone's doing. Congrats to allllll the mamas I missed while I was gone!

Okay, I have updated everything listed in this thread. If anyone wants me to change their announcements, edit anything, add anything, etc. please let me know! If you see any mistakes, let me know. If we missed any of the announcements from the main page, let me know! I haven't had much time to check it and I know we're waiting on a couple more mamas to post.

Wow this ddc has a ton of babies! Congratulations to everyone!

I feel for you! i was overwhelmed by the developing list, with you having a new baby and a new house! did that take you all day? You rock!

So great to see everything updated! And what a bumper crop of babies we've turned out... 118 (and two pending)! There are only 61 in the March DDC announcement thread ;-).

Also, for anyone who's curious... we had a c-section rate of 14.8% of birth events (16.1% of the babies were born by c-section, including half the twins). Six births were VBACs; I think there were three attempts that ended in surgical delivery (anyone besides momtoafireteam, nuggetsmommy and me?). mom2libby is still pending though.

Yes, I am a stats junkie.

I love the stats!!! thank you for compiling them! (oh--I just wondered, how many homebirthed babies did we have? probably more than the 1% nationwide average!)

WAY TO GO mdc mamas....I am proud and happy that our group's c-section rate reflects the WHO's suggested parameters for an appropriate amount of surgical births (10-15%)--which is a sharp contrast to the 30.1% rate nationwide.

Updated.

Yeah, it took me a few days actually to catch up. But luckily ds nurses all day so I get plenty of nak time. Unless my dd is hitting me cuz I'm not paying enough attention to her.

From the announcements, it looks like we had 38 homebirths (not including transfers or birth centers - but um, I did include my hotel uc heh ) which makes us over 32% homebirths! That's a lovely statistic, isn't it?

Congrats to all us mamas!

Updated! Congrats JunipersMom!

Sooo, that's about it for the announcements. I'm guessing a couple more mommies will surface to announce when they get the chance, and I'll keep an eye out for those. I got kinda lazy on looking for edd's but if I'm nak'ing and bored I might start adding them again. I'm so glad a few mamas held out until I got back online, lol.
