Also, if anyone has any suggestions for how they want to organize the Birth Announcements, feel free to PM me. I've already pm'ed the mod to sticky this thread. Once I know what we want I can start listing all the babies in the first post.

sadiejane08 had her baby!

From her blog:

This is Grayson's husband. I am happy to report that everything went even better than expected this morning. Tilo Morris Jacobs was born at 9.38am, weighing 2910 grams. Tilo did not have to go to the NICU. He's a little grunty and hasn't yet shown any interest in eating, but the doctors say it will resolve itself in the course of the day. More news will follow later.

Congratulations!!!!

My birth story:

I was having irregular contractions for about 10 days and was on terb. Came off it at 35.5 weeks and started having harder contractions on thursday morning. Called OB when I started feeling tearing pain in my incision. Went into hospital at about 2pm. Hooked up to monitors and by 8pm was having regular contractions. Contractions were getting extremely strong and coming right on top of each other. Dr became worried that my uterus was working too hard to be safe for VBA2C. My membranes were broken by about 11pm. Still harder and faster contractions and NO progress. Labored overnight and by 8am friday still absolutely no progress at all. Still at 3, 50% and -2, just like when I presented 19 hrs prior.

We decided to section, it was a very rough delivery. She was stuck funnily and required a vacuum and a lot of wrestling to work free. She was 6.7lbs and 20 inches long.

Sorry I dont have an uplifting birth story.

: please don't apologize for sharing your experience with us! Things happen in birth. You did everything you could. I mean, a baby that requires vacuum extraction in a surgical delivery was definitely NOT in position to be born... and tearing pain near your incision? OMG that would have FREAKED ME the heck OUT! I'm glad to have heard that it happened to you and you apparently did *not* have a rupture... that will hopefully give me some peace should I have a similar experience.

I know you were really looking forward to a vaginal delivery, and I'm sorry it didn't happen for you. But gosh... no more apologizing to us, ok? ;-)

momtoafireteam: You had such a rough delivery, please don't be hard on yourself! It is uplifting to know that you are alive and your baby is here and well taken care of while she gets better. Please be gentle with yourself, you've been through so much already. We don't all get easy labors, and your story is a good reminder of how strong a woman it takes sometimes to bring our babies into the world!

Agreed!

What a stong, strong mama you are to go through all of that to bring a healthy baby into the world! As someone told me the other day....there comes a point when the baby takes over how he or she will be born, you're just along for the ride.
