I'm so sorry... but that had me laughing so HARD. So much so that I had to open my maca and do the lick finger test. Not too bad.... It reminds me a little of bitter greens - I used to put them in my smoothie (spinach or chard), so I don't think it will bug me too much. That, and I drink my smoothies with a straw. I can't eat bananas but here's my smoothie mix... grapefruit juice, blueberries, raspberries, egg whites (pasturized) and organic greek yogurt.

Thanks, really needed that this evening! Hope it gets better in the smoothies! It has made me be chicken and I have order some powder and some gelatinised powder (which apparently tastes better as it has some of the starch removed). Who knows, but I have ordered 250g of each and will see how we go!

Can I jump in on this one too!! I stopped BCP in january and haven't had a period since then.

I have not tried the Maca yet, but I have a DR appt in two weeks to see what they have to say about the no period buisness. I am thinking maybe I over exercise?? I do the ellipitcal every day for 45 minutes and light weights as well for about 5-10 minutes. Could that be it??? I am 5'5'' 126 lbs. I just want to be a woman again and have my period!!!!!

The website says they will ship to anywhere. shipping info is on left side of the page. some places they don't ship via paypal....but they say they will ship anywhere.

Yeah I'm wondering if I should have gone with gelatinized. The Mountain Rose Herbs maca I have is really... flavorful. I can't cover it up with anything. I put it in a smoothie today with just banans & orange juice and only used 1 tablespoon and while it's better than any other way I've tried so far, the flavor is still really strong.

So I think I'm reducing my daily amount to 1 tbsp for now!

OMG!! I think I may have ovulated yesterday!!!! : : :

I had some light cramping the past two days prior... temp got pretty low yesterday morning... shot up a lot today compared to the rest of the temps since I've been on Maca and Vitex... I also was really wet yesterday... sorry for TMI... but my CM has been really odd through this whole no-period thing, and yesterday, no doubt I had watery CM.

I told DP, and we got in a session of BDing before he had to go to work. He is so incredibly wonderful. This morning when he got home, he came right up to ask the temp verdict and I just grinned and said it went up... "is that a good sign?" "yes, baby it is!"

I know I have to wait like 2 more days of higher temps to know better, but I have a REALLY good feeling and putting those positive vibes out there, and DP is on board with the whole positive visualization too now.

I have not been this excited to temp in awhile.

I do feel real good when I take the Maca, not sure why....but I just feel great. must be all the vitamins. DH says he feels good too. Yes, it tastes like crap...but i'm sticking with it!! it makes me feel good

Well, today was day 1 for me. Put the maca in the smoothie described above. I drank the first half right away - it wasn't too bad. Had the 2nd half a few hours later (I split my breakfast in two) and it was MUCH better. I didn't mind the flavor at ALL!

I think I'm going to continue to take it, though officially I've decided not to TTC for 2 months (if it happens, great, but we aren't working on it). I am concerned about winter-time deliver and post-partum depression (I live in the frozen north) and DH and I decided together that it might be a good time to take a break, especially after talking to both of my sisters who have had winter babies.

Hope you all get your BFP soon, though!

Well, I finally got a LOW reading on my fertility monitor today - that sounds like bad news, but it had been 'high' for 20 days already, and was 'high' during AF! I'm taking that to mean my estrogen is leveling out, yay! Hopefully everything will regulate soon!

Temps are still looking good... need another high temp tomorrow... I have a really good feeling. :

DP was sooo cute this morning again... he just gives me this grin when he got home... "Did you temp today... what did it say?"

I just love that he's so on board with this and asking questions and showing interest in this extra stuff. He isn't as open minded as I am, shall we say... so it's really cool that he is coming around and aksing about temps.

Well reading all the positive vibes on this thread makes me want to run (really fast) to wild oats to see if they have any. I emailed dh about it and he says he is on board - he drinks protein shakes daily and I don't think he'll have a problem downing it. I might but I've had worse before when on a diet I am sure. Although he also said if it increases his libido anymore than it is currently he might not be able to go out in public. he is so great, I am more interested in the energy and good vibes, I seem to O on cd14 but I want to make sure things don't go wacky from the bc.

Also, just checking, is everyone taking this all cycle long or just pre-O?

So as soon as I get it....
