I know it's not PERFECT but I liked the story that went along with it. It ended nicely, and might be enough to inspire mainstream parents to not circ their sons. I was happy to see something like this, rather than an extremely pro-circ argument. just thought i would share.

Good article for a mainstream mag.

Wow, for a mainstream article, that was pretty amazing. The worst part of almost all mainstream articles (no matter how much positive stuff they say) is that they always end the article with a bit of fear, or a little warning about how circing is actually good. They tend in the end to sound pro circ, and say, "not circing could be good, but its probably not"

This article was nice all the way through, and ended on a nice proud scene where an intact boy is not only happy, but fitting very comfortably in the world around him.

I strongly suggest people who are trying to break strongly "pro circ" parents to at least start with this article.

Aww, the end made me smile!

I left a bit of a po'd comment regarding the assertion that circ is at an all time low in the US. As if it was routine in 1776.

Impressive for such a ms mag.

I love how it starts out stating circ is at an all-time low. Yeah, like all time including all the times when doctors kept their grubby hands to themselves and didn't amputate healthy body parts? But I agree, better than most.

I commented. I tried to sound nice (not like an...don't say it...intactivist...gasp!)

I basically just said that it is nice America is finally realizing what the rest of the developed world knows...that boys are born perfect, and that genital altering is the decision of the individual boy when he is capable of consent.

Overall...I loved the ending of the article. I hope that reading about a NORMAL intact boy (no son of a hippie or what have you) will help convince ms parents to leave their sons alone.

By and large this seemed like a very good article, as good as they come here I suppose. I especially liked how they ended the article, "Nicolo didn't look different after all". Good ending I believe there will be many parents who will have that experience.

BTW, is there a way to view comments or are they just collecting them?
