Flooring from Ikea

Is this a good flooring option for our computer area?
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60070014

Lots of traffic, our computers are in what is technically the dining room, off the living room which is more a TV/play room

Have you looked at Bamboo? We put it throughout the house and it.
We paid 3.99 a sq ft and DH installed it himself by hiring a handy man off craigslist to help. I love that Bamboo is renewable and non toxic.

We had Ikea laminate and it worked great everywhere but the kitchen where the floor got wet. Mostly by the sink from me washing dishes.

I would use it again if it was a choice between that and carpet, but if you can afford a higher quality, go with that.

My husband saw the Ikea flooring the last time we were there and was not impressed. He said it looked very thin and cheaply made and the life span would be very short. For a high traffic area I would go shop around and try and get a good quality wood flooring that could be refinished more then once. Shop around for sales or discounts. Bamboo is great if it fits your house.

I love Ikea but I would NEVER use their flooring. Its cheap and termites love it!

I would stay away from Ikea flooring.

I have it in a computer area, but I put a chair pad under the office chair. And the computer area is in a low-traffic area, and we are usually in slippers here (no pets). It still looks good after three years, but I wouldn't use it in a high-traffic area for the reasons mentioned above.
