What has your dc done lately that made you SOOO proud? - Page 2

My dd, nearly 15 is quirky and her own person. I am so proud of her for resisting the pressure to conform. She does not always but Wed. night she went to a concert, hung with the band members and various kids, not just members of her volleyball team. She is so creative. She writes songs and she is very kind and sensitive. She is hanging in with volleyball team even though it is frustrating for her. She is working on her jump serve. She has a 3.8 average in her high school classes.
My ds, 17 is also very kind and generous. He is letting hsi friend use his paintball gun today. He is so connected with his dog. He helps me out a lot like ran down to sign for something from the UPS truck. He took his sister to her voice lessons ad the gym yesterday. He talks to me a lot about world politics. He is nearly done with his first year of college at age 17.

It's been a long time since I've been at MDC, and it was so nice reading all these posts!

Just to add my $.02--

DD (10) was just selected as Student of the Month. Each month her school selects a student from each grade that epitomizes a certain character trait. March's trait was kindness. At a time when many girls are beginning to get competitive and catty, I'm so proud that she is more into being kind.
