Dark skin patches, acne, depression, anxiety?

Please someone point me in the right direction or give me hope. Im 23 and I have major acne. Let me first say I know that my skins behavior is a major sign of my overall health and the last place toxins can leave my body. I know what I put into my body is a big deal and have tried to remedy it that way. We eat mostly organic, natural, free range, no preservatives, no additives, unbleached, whole foods. I'm not perfect but I'm a step ahead of most folks when it comes to nutrition, maybe even two steps!

Why oh why am I still suffering from major acne on my face, neck, chest, and back? It's horrible! I also have the honor of sporting some of the strangest discolored skin anybody has ever seen. It's dark brown and looks at first like dry skin that needs to be exfoliated and then moisturized. But if you rub it off (and it does rub off) it just comes back thicker and darker. It looks like cheetah spots on my abdomen but just like a dark ring around my neck. I've asked two M.D.'s, one dermatologist, and my HB midwife about it. Nobody has a clue what it is but they all agree it isn't fungal. The HB midwife wants me to see a natropath about it, but I'm poor and it's an expensive visit. I'm worried that it's linked to my depression and anxiety, even though I had some expensive tests done just two and a half years ago while experiencing all the same symptoms just to be told all my hormones were within "normal" range and I checked out. There was no explanation for these symptoms and my M.D. just shrugged them off. I also seem to have a hard time loosing weight.

Does anybody have any clue what the heck is wrong with me??? Any suggestions on what I should do. I think I should just bite the bullet and pay to see the natropath even though I have lost hope that nothing will help and I will just waist my hard earned cash. This sucks please write back if anybody has any guesses or ideas of where to start. I've been putting up with these symptoms since I was about 16.

Oh BTW my son was born past 43 weeks gestation by force. It sure sounds like a hormone problem doesn't it? The M.D. said the tests looked great, but that was the days before I did my own research and figured things out. Think I ought to pay to do it again? Poor me! LOL

How old is your son? Are you breastfeeding?

Start by taking Udos DHA Oil. It is and Omega 3,6,9 supplement and will help with your skin and mood a ton.

I would also take Turmericforce for your liver and to help detox. It is safe while BF.

Also make sure you take a lot of probiotics which will assist your immune system in overcoming whatever is going on.

I would see a ND when you can as well.

Thanks. My son is 16 months old and I breastfeed him still. So I need Udos DHA Oil, I have some fish oil I quit taking because of the taste and texture is that the same thing or is Udos a certain brand? Whats Turmericforce, I'm going to look it up but if you don't mind telling me a bit? And I need to get back on the probiotics...okay! I really want to see a ND but I guess I just figured a good diet and healthy living should fix everything, and then when it didn't I figured all hope must be lost.

Thanks for you help! Ummmm I also wanted to add that I've been check for PCOS by ultrasound and blood panels and they turned up nothing.

You can get the Udo's in gell cap form, fish oils too. I think some of the udo's have evening primrose oil in it. It would help with the hormones too, if you have issues. If you get the Udo's oil not in the pill form, you can actually use it in salad dressing. It's pretty yummy!

I really love the face care products from http://www.daybreaklavenderfarm.com/store/product.php?productid=16550&cat=281&page=1. They're all natural from fabulous ingredients! It has really helped my acne when no other products seemed to work! And they've got great support!

The things you listed can also be a symptom of PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)

Other symptoms of PCOS can be irregular or absent periods, facial hair, cystic ovaries, hair loss (on top of your head) and an apple shaped figure.

An endocrinologist can run blood work to help you determine this.

Oops....see you've already tested for PCOS. sorry
