Hi mamas!

Our beautiful DAUGHTER : arrived yesterday morning after a short and EAAAAAASY labor at home.

My water broke around 1:30am, had light contractions all night until they got stronger (but still really manageable) around 5:30. The MW arrived just before 7 and I got in the pool. Had about an hour of serious labor (still, SO MUCH EASIER than my pit labor last time!), pushed for around 30 mins, and she emerged into the water and my arms!

I feel like there's no birth story to tell--it was so simple, quick, and even pleasurable. Home birth is the BEST!!!!

She's nursing like a champion, and Xan is doing great as a big brother despite asking yesterday at breakfast (politely!) if he could stick a fork in her. Guess that means she's done
