Help! Dandruff!

I've never had a dandruff problem until the past week or so. I haven't changed anything in my washing or haircare routine. I don't use anything in my hair except VO5 shampoo and conditioner. I do not use curlers or a blowdryer.
What could cause this sudden onset of dandruff? I would prefer to take care of this naturally rather than using a special dandruff shampoo. Any suddestions? TIA

I don't have any recommendations. I have dandruff also. There was a new study that came out that proved that dandruff is actually a fungus. ??? So, it has nothing to do with cleanliness or dry skin. I've tried many different types of natural products from health food stores, to no avail. I just learned to live with it.

Seriously?! I thought it was just flakes of dead scalp skin.

true dandruff IS a fungus ... sometimes TTO helps.

a brown sugar scrub can help w/dry, itchy scalp, though. mixing some brown sugar w/your conditioner and scrubbing away. (i think i got that from the Curly Girl book by Lorainne Massey ...)

i'm a curly head who doesn't use shampoo, not nec. for green-sake, but for dry hair-sake.

use ACV for removal of build-up, etc. works great!
