another Post Secret -- kinda sad

Made me really sad.

There was a picture of stacked Similac cans and the caption said:

"Hey Lactation nurse! I told you its because of the medicines for my lupus...but it's really because I didn't want to give up my naturally perfect rack."

Well, her priorities are certainly in perfect order. I wish her and her baby all the best.

Good luck to her. Old age wil get us all eventually

How can her rack be "natural" if she only uses them for male attention and not for their (naturally) intended purpose?

What is post secret?
uh...my "rack" still looks good. in fact my breasts are fuller now that I'm bf'ing. pfft...how selfish of her.
I though this was going to be about the person who nursed until six and still fantasizes about it and then I realized I'm a week behind on PS! Ack!

I didn't like that one either. Besides it was pregnancy, not nursing that changed my breasts. She's better off not having kids at all if her priorities are her boobs.

Here is the link if you haven't seen it. How sad.

I second that!!! Your boobs aren't natural if you don't use them for their natural purpose!!!

and thank you very much, MY boobs are fantastic due to breastfeeding! I would have NEVER been a "D" in my life 'naturally'

And the other day I was out with my friend at a bar and I leaned over some guy friend and he commented, in surprise, how full my breast felt on his arm...well, a few beers too many me replied, "That's because I breastfeed!!!"

How horribly selfish. Some women yearn for the chance to nurse a baby.

I do appreciate the person who sent in the card giving me someone to be totally judgmental about without guilt.
Moving to the media forum. As sad as this might make us, the purpose of the Lactivism forum isn't to criticize people who don't breastfeed. Thanks!

The point of "Postasecret" is to post something you have been keeping inside for some reason. I imagine this woman has felt some shame and hopefully remorse for the decision she made.

Post a secret is a fabulous thing. Please continue to check it out. The gentleman who set it up is really just tying to give people a forum where they can let go of things that have been weighting them down.

Check it out if you have not already.

vanity over a child's needs

From postsecret this week: this one. Grrr...

At least she recognized that it's something to feel guilty about.

I wish that more women who didn't want to BF were honest about it, rather than making up lame excuses. These lame excuses hurt women who want to BF but lack support because others tell them that it's "too hard" or "you can't BF in XYZ situation", and it hurts those who honestly can't BF for medical reasons because so many lactation-knowledgable women won't beleive her.

So...am I the only one who has a NICER "rack" when nursing? :
Mine used to be perkier but I can't complain. I'm providing my daughter w/the perfect food. The look of my boobs was not a factor when deciding whether or not to bf.
I also agree at least she was honest. However, it upsets me a lot. Some women want to bf greatly but can't for whatever reason, and she is taking that ability for granted.
