Turning pocket diapers into AIO's ???

I've noticed that many AIO diapers such as Bum-Genius look identical to their pocket diapers, only the back is closed.
Has anyone tried sewing shut the back of a stuffed pocket diaper to create an AIO? It seems like the insert wouldn't get as clean if it doesn't come out, but then again, whats the difference between that and an AIO with the microfiber soaker sewn in?

I think you'd have to do more than just sew the back shut. You'd have to sew all around the insert, or it might get bunchy in weird ways. And sewing all around it would be difficult, and would likely interfere with the leg elastic.

ditto to Lex.

i make pocket diapers but instead of back opening cause they are cumbersome, check out the DSD board, they hv a tutorial for sham opening which works so much better than the traditional back or front opening for pocket diapers.
