My 18 month old ds will not stop biting me. My nipples cannot take another feeding. I try to end each feeding before an attack but I always seem to miss him. What can I do?????? He is usually very sweet and he is taking those sweet moments and making them biting momets instead. I have had to let him cry, raise my voice and be very cross. GD did not work he just laughed at me. I do not want to wean but he is REALLY going to push me toward it. And yes he is teething he has been teething forever he is a horrible teether and will accept no sub (finger, teether, wash cloth, ice*also we do not use bottle or pacifiers.

I'm so sorry! I have no advice, but I feel your pain. My boy is only 8months old, but my nipple is so chewed up now too!!

Oh I also tried rewarding him when he does not bite, singing, a special song, wearing a special sweater and still he bites this has been going on for almost two months straight................

My only thought was to get an Amber teething Necklace????

my son is much younger at 11mths, but he has done the biting thing too - and that searing pain - unreal

he has stopped, at least for now - i changed a few things - i take him up to the bedroom to nurse and make sure it's really quiet so less chance of distractions

i have delatched him on the odd occasion when i thought he might be done - hate the boredom bites. if he wants more he makes it obvious

it's probably totally different with a toddler, i can only speak from 11mths experience

i feel your pain though!

You are right about the boredom bites. I am finding that to be very true. Thanks for the input.
