Midwife in Central wisconsin

I dont know if this is the right place to ask but I've been searching and haven't had much luck as of yet finding anyone online. I'm looking for a midwife in the central wisconsin area that may be affilated with a hospital or do home births. My husband and I were planning on using our midwife in the hospital but she is changing locations to a place 2hrs away and we aren't sure how that would really work for the birth so we are opening our options and feelers to find out what is in our area! So if you know anyone please help!! It's our first birth so we are a little unsure of home births mostly because we are just learning about them and we feel inexperiecnced we were planning on doing one for our second birth. Thanks for the help let me know if I should post this elsewhere I wasn't sure since I'm kinda new at this forum.

You can try posting this in the Minnesota/Wisconsin tribe area. Where exactly central Wisconsin are we talking? Like Madison? Or more Stevens Point? If you could share the nearest larger city, I can maybe help you find some options.

I am also right in your area! Exciting!

We have had 2 hospital births, and then 3 home births. Our last one, the midwife missed due to the blizzard, so that was really exciting for my husband and I!

Anyhow, there are many midwives in our area, and I know 3 of them personally, as I am interested in midwifery in the future.

1. Jane Peterson 715-445-2277 (Licensed)
Jane is awesome! We've had her and her assistant, Christie Reynolds, for our last 3 homebirths, and we *love* them! She has an office in Iola, which is about 15 mins East of Stevens Point. Her birth fee (includes 3 postpartum visits) is ~$1500+, with prenatals being $50 each. She has ~2300 births so far.

2. Andi Raine 715-345-1222 (Licensed)
Andi has such a *great* view of birth! She won't turn down an "invitation" to be at a birth, and doesn't view it as "her decision" whether women "should or shouldn't" have a homebirth! She has attended twins, primary vbac, breech, etc. Andi charges ~$1200 for a birth. She has ~300 births so far. Andi has an office in St. Point.

3. Lydia Schwartz (Amish midwife, Unlicensed)
Lydia is such a sweet person. She will come to your home for the birth, if you pick her up, or she will let you birth at her office (has 2 bedrooms for this purpose). She charges ~$100 for a birth, I am not sure what her prenatal fees are, but her office days are Tuesday. She lives in Granton. She attends ~50 births a year.

There are more midwives towards Wausau, two more, I know of, if you need more. All of them are familiar with homebirth and hospital birth, (f need be).

Just wondering who your midwife was??

Our midwife was Kay Wiena at the Marshfield clinic and if you have those wausau names on had we are just trying to get a good idea of who is in our area. Kay told us about 5 midwifes at facility in Eau Claire. Do you know much about them? Thanks for your help!
