Talking and crying in her sleep?

My daughter is just over 3 weeks old. For the past coupe of nights she has been driving me CRAZY, talking and crying in her sleep. She makes so much noise, I cannot sleep! Does anyone know a solution? Is this normal? Can I make her stop? I seriously have just been leaving her in the bed with my husband and sleeping on the couch!

Trixie is vocal in her sleep too. I don't mind it because it lets me know that she is still breathing.
Sometimes she lets out a big wail while she's sleeping, which is a little scary because she doesn't cry much when she's awake. I wonder what she's dreaming to make her cry.
Anyhow I don't have any tips, sorry. I think that some people are just naturally vocal sleepers. I talk a lot in my sleep, and I've never been able to prevent it.
Is your husband a really heavy sleeper? Is he still aware enough of her? (I ask since it doesn't seem to bother him.)

My husband can sleep through anything! I found tonight (actually she did this on her own) that if she lays on her side, she doesn't do it. It may just be she takes after my dh, he snores and makes noise too!

Irritating but totally normal, or so I'm told. I'm a very vocal sleeper and so was the boy when he was tiny. Not as much now, though.

Thank you all so much for reassuring me. I guess I am a typical first time mom, I worry about every little thing! I actually asked my husband last night was it my fault because last week she had pulled off my nipple without breaking the suction and it HURT and I yelled out a bit, I thought she had been having bad dreams of her momma yelling!

so funny, linnaea does these weird hissing noises (we joke that shes actually a gremlin not a baby) and growls and grunts. my dh slept through everything with lazlo but he's always waking up asking me if she's okay because she's SO loud.

so long as she is breathing and not choking i'm fine with the noises. even though she sounds possesed!

Kaia doesn't make much noise in her sleep, except when she will wake a little bit and stretch and make all kind of grunts, hehe, but she does occasionally cry out real loud. We wondered what was so scary in her dreams too, and decided the boobs were running away

The past 2 or 3 nights Connell has been doing the same thing, and he'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. He's so loud I can barely sleep! He drove dh into dd's bed! I hope it's just a phase. The other night I even considered putting him in his crib in the other room just so I could sleep, but that seemed so far away.
