Can Food Intolerance cause fever?

My ds, 15 mos, has thrown up twice after eating pineapple. Today is the second time, and he also has a fever (can't remember if he did last time). I am unsure if it is the pineapple, perhaps it is a coincidence. But if it is, could the fever be caused by the allergy?

He is teething right now, too: four massive side teeth popping at once. I don't know if that has something to do with it.

My guess would be no. I mean, I suppose it's possible; but the more likely scenario is that your DS is either fighting a bug or that the pineapple is a bit too acidic for his tummy. Hope he feels better soon!
