Just a quick note to say our ds arrived on March 11 at 6:37 am. We have been enjoying him immensely and I've been resting lots (basically feeling good) so I'm just back online for the first time.
Noah is happy, healthy, and darling, imho. He arrived quite quickly -- 5 1/2 hours after my labor broke (no labor before then), less than 30 minutes after we arrived at the hospital, and before the water birth tub could get filled OR the midwife could arrive! Luckily, our terrific doula (who is on her way to being a homebirth midwife) was there and the docs basically stood back and let me birth with her guidance and dh's great support. I got the natural birth I wanted, complete with a magical 2 hours of alertness after the birth and a wonderful sense of well-being.
Can you tell I'm still a little blissed out?
Now I'm off to catch up on all the excitement from the past week!
