I need links to studies showing how interventions increase the risk of c sections and how many c sections are preformed without real reason ie baby to big, mom pelvis to small etc.

If you want to do the research yourself I'd start with the references from the ICAN fact sheet. Just cut & paste the biblio information of the interesting studies into a google search and you should get at least the article abstracts. http://www.ican-online.org/pregnancy...ean-fact-sheet

To look up those studies you don't have to figure out any words, just cut and paste the study titles. You might get better results if you put them in quotes.

Try this website:

http://www.transitiontoparenthood.co...CSEpidemic.htm

Janelle Durham, a colleague of mine in Seattle put this together in prep for a conference we are putting on April 18th in Seattle "At Least You Have A Healthy Baby:" Exploring the Forces Behind the Cesarean Epidemic www.reache.info

Her website in general www.transitiontoparenthood.com is a wealth of stuff, and Janelle is a data hound, you can email her a request and get a response with great links and research back immediately, Tell her Sharon sent you, she will laugh!

Good luck!

AMAZING link! Thank you so much! I'm definitely showing this to DH, as it puts everything together neatly, concisely, and in a way he can understand and doesn't have to decipher anything. If my OB wants to start in on inducing, I'll whip this out.
