car accident : (

I got rear ended on my way to my midwife'a appointment today So not something I wanted to deal with. It was very minor for me. The other car suffered much more damage. Now I have to figure out what I need to do to get my car repaired or at least checked out. Just so not something I wanted to deal with at 39 weeks.

My midwife decided to so a nst since I was still a little shaken up. She said the baby looked great and was reacting to my adrenaline. I have never felt her move so much as I did after the accident.

Though I know if was her fault, I really feel bad for the young woman that hit me. She was already apset and then she realized I was nine months pregnant. Poor kid. At least we are all fine.

The nurse commented, too bad it didn't put you into labor I feel pretty shortchanged about that...

Oh honey. I know exactly what you're going through. I was rearended at 37 weeks. Thankfully no one was hurt. Well I have a sprained ankle, but that's minor. The car was totaled though so I've been dealing with that for the last 2 weeks.

But I'm the same way. I felt so bad for the guy, still do. He comes over and sees two kids in car seats and then I get out of the car looking all huge.

Just take it easy. Do what you can about the car, but if the damage is minor, it can always wait.

I'm glad everyone is ok. I'm sorry you have to deal with the whole aftermath now though.

Glad everyone is ok!!!! My advice is to go through your own insurance and have them go through subrogation to recoup their costs. You will have to pay your deductible, but then the other person's insurance should reimburse you. Can you tell I have been hit before?

Hang in there!!

I'm glad you and the babe are ok!

I know the feeling too, unfortunately. I got in a car accident when I was pg with DD. We were all fine, but the other girl was upset because I was pregnant (and I was just upset because she freakin' ran a red light and smacked into me!).

The only hassle was that the insurance company called me to give a statement when I was still at the hospital (ended up staying 4 days because of a cesarean). They figured I wasn't returning their calls. They felt dumb when I told them I was in the hospital.

Anyway, I agree, pay your deductible and let your insurance handle it. Way way easier than dealing with the other company yourself!

I'm very, very grateful you're fine except for the shock of it. Although I know you must want this baby out by now, I imagine you may feel better not having it "jump started" in fear, etc. Happy labor - it's bound to happen in the next 3 wks ish!
