Clothes...

I'm 10 days pp now and I'm having issues with dressing. Anyone else? The only thing I like is a pair of New York and Company pants I got that are like yoga pants. Got them in my last trimester for just this purpose and they're great. But dang, shirts are a problem. Any good nursing tops/tanks suggestions? My boobs are too huge for many of my pre-preg clothes. The Target nursing tanks my mom got me are so binding in the boobs. :

girl I am in the same boat..nothing fits cause of the boob thing...and I used to wear tight shirts adn they just show the leftover belly area....so what to wear? I am going to go to motherhood.com and get a few things also old navy has some cute stuff. good luck

Yeah, there's no way I'm wearing all this maternity stuff past next week. I'm swimming in it and it makes me look really fat. Which maybe I am.

I'm not having any issues with chest size for clothing, but I most of my tops look ridiculous on me right now, because they're just not made big enough for my full term belly! And I only have a couple pants that will fit....both with very stretchy waists.

I'm 3 weeks pp and still nothing fits! My belly is still not all the way down, my hips are to big for all of my jeans and my boobs are huge and most of my shirts don't fit!! I went out the other day and bought a pair of jeans, a pair of black pants for church and a couple of tops to get me through. I'm hoping I can fit into my other clothes sometime in the near future. And as I was clearing all my maternity clothes out of the closet today I realized that I have like no summer clothes!! I guess I'll be shopping for some new things in the next couple of months!

I'm having the same issue. Actually my maternity jeans are what look the best on me (pants-wise). I have several pairs which are just the elastic band which goes around the waist. I tried buying all these new jeans and nothing fits. NOTHING. They are either too tight in the waist (but fit elsewhwere) or falling off me. I was having major shirt issues too...but that is better at 3 weeks pp now. ALthough my breasts are still too big for some of my favorite button down shirts...so I just wear them open with a tank or other shirt underneath.

So your boobs have gone down? Will that happen to me? DH will be sorry, but I won't be. I used to be a B (and that was more like a B-) and now I'm solidly in D. So weird!

Another question--when does the uterus finally shrink back to normal? I read at 6 weeks in the hospital info (for which I have a native distrust.) I was HOPING to use the rest of an Old Navy giftcard I got when pregnant for some cute spring PP clothes--I just wanted them in something more like my normal size! I didn't gain that much weight (like 28lb). Should I wait till it magically melts off or should I just go ahead and buy some new duds...

My regular tops are ok, but so tight the floppy belly is really obvious... oh well that'll encourage me to eat right until I get back to exercise

I'm with you. Nothing fits and I have horrible postpartum PUPPPS so I need to wear loose clothes. I've mostly been hiding in my house in pjs.

My friend lent me a Glamourmom tank top, which is *okay* but it's really short and also the clasp is hard to do with one hand. Does anyone have any functioning nursing tops (also that could pass as normal clothes?)

Not in your DDC, but I love the Boob Nursing Clothing line. You can view them at boobdesign.com, activebabycare.com and milkface.com. They really have an innovative nursing design that functions well (especially for babywearers) and look like real clothes (i.e. not frumpy). As their sizing is based on your current actual bust size, the clothing fits well, too!
