After the traumatic experience of having not one but two pairs of my hand-knit socks die painful deaths on me (large holes
), and then the frustration of starting some new socks with yarn that was fighting me (ever have yarn that fights you? No matter what you try to knit with it, it ends in disaster?) and throwing up my hands in frustration, I have gotten back in the saddle. I got two new sock yarns and am knitting both Chevron Socks and Flickering Flame Socks. They are both humming along and I'm enjoying them very much. What a great feeling! Now to get enough housework done that I can feel justified in knitting a little.
I've decided that this is going to be the Summer of Socks for me -- I always knit lots of socks for CIC, and I'm sure I'll do lots more this year, but I'm going to do a lot of knitting for me, and replenish that sad empty sock drawer before the snow flies again.
