Johnson & Johnson

Apparently Johnson & Johnson is hosting an invitation-only pampering weekend called Camp Baby for select "mommy bloggers." When invitees with young nurslings asked if they could bring their babies, the answer was no. Anyone who went HAD to agree to go for the entire three days.

It's really sad (but not at all surprising) that a company that markets so many baby goods would host Camp Baby-Unfriendly. Personally, this only provides me with more reason to go Johnson & Johnson-free.

What?! Camp BABY: no babies allowed.

That is just ridiculous.

Wow. That's sucky. There's no way I would leave my LO with ANYONE for that long. I would be a bawling mess by the time I came home, and he would be a bawling mess before then. Not to mention I'd be so engorged...I don't even want to think about that part... It's discriminating to mamas and babies who exclusively breastfeed. I know they could just pump a whole bunch before the event, but there are babies who don't take bottles, and then what do you do? I know it's supposed to be an event where you can "get away" from your kids, but why don't they just let you bring them and have childcare? Didn't they want to spring for it? Would it be too difficult to find that many sitters? I don't understand.

WTF?? And this is geared only for mommies of infants or what?

If it was for expectant moms it would make a heck of a lot more sense!

That's equivalent to saying no breastfeeding mom's allowed!

Boycott anyone?
(Not that I would do any good, I don't think I use any of their products anyway... )
