Tandem nursing...

why is it that I hate nursing both of my nurslings when I used to adore nursing ds2?

is it because of the sheer pressure that his top teeth put on my nipple making it feel like he's slowly ripping it off? is it that if I even ask him to wait FIVE MINUTES where before that was all hunky dory now it's a reason for a complete meltdown? is it because she has a tendency to spit up unpredictably (in really insane amounts) all over me (conveniently missing hte floor, chair, boppy etc but drenching us both)? is it the sheer TIME commitment (spending approximately all but 3 hours of my awake time and who knows how much of my asleep time nursing one or the other)?

really what is it? because I am TIRED of wanting with nothing more in my life than to strike out at my 20m/o when he comes waddling up to me with *that* look in his eye and a grin on his mouth only to turn into demon boy crying/screaming/kicking etc when I ask him to "hang on just a sec honey". I'm tired of aching to just shove the baby off of me when she wants to nurse AGAIN for the 3rd hour in a row...a 10 minute break just doesn't cut it anymore. I am just so tired...I cannot even stand it when dh mentions dtd...yes I am ready...but I keep putting him off because I KNOW he will want to play with *HIS* boobies and I will scream if someone else wants to touch me...argh.

please please tell me this gets better??? it wasn't so bad when I could nurse both at once...I actually had a break between nursing.

Oh mama.. My DS1 is going through the same thing. We nursed maybe 3 times a day before DS2 was born.. Now? He wants it all day long.

My advice is to tell DH that you just can't have them touched right now.. That's what I did.

I have...and he says that's fine..but in the middle...he always wants to test to see if I'm *ready* or not. thankfully DD is a lot more efficient...she just finished her growth spurt a few days ago and i nursed ds2 3x today
