I read here on and off, and it was this forum that made me realize what circ was all about and kept my second DS intact.

So my BIL and his wife had their first baby...a boy. He had called awhile back to ask my DH (his brother) about circ. DH was totally AGAINST keeping DS2 intact, but went along with it. When his brother called I was a bit nervous, but he said staying intact was no big deal...and he was worried about not being the same (and DS1 is circed as well) but it was a total non-issue.

Anyway.....his Bro called today and was very PROUD to announce that they kept the new little guy intact *and* started pointing out all the reasons/reach why.

Happy Day!

Congratulations Graceoc! and thanks for sharing. Hopefully their experience will inspire others. Thats how we stop it one parent at a time. If you haven't already, perhaps you would share some of the literature about care of an intact boy and such. Fliess's article and other relevant information.

Always a relief to hear, isn't it? I just gave our pregnant friend circ info, and they seemed sincerely open to the idea of keeping intact. I hope I hope I hope! I'm going to send my cousin the same info, but I don't know how open they are, all the cousins are quite mainstream, formula feeding, etc.
