Just a quickie.
Klaus was born at home on March 18th at 10pm. When he came, he came very fast. He was having trouble breathing and I had a major tear so we transferred via ambulance.
He is in the NICU and slowly improving but needs good healing vibes. He came off of the CPAP today and I got to hold him (isnt that a horrible thing to say?) and love him. I'm pumping, he is having trouble digesting the colostrum. One day at a time. Pumping is horrible and I hate it.
Because of his swift entry I tore the bejeezus out of the Wookiee. I nearly lost BOTH labia and tore my perineum so severely that the surgeon could fit her fist into the cavity. I had only seconds to decide what to protect. I decided to save my clit, and then I decided to save his head from hitting the floor.. luckily I saved my clitoris and helped him land semi-gracefully.
I was put under general for surgery and my husband stayed with the baby. He has been amazing, he had instantaneous unconditional love for this baby and he has just been a rock to both of us. I can't imagine doing this without him. He has been so attentive of Klaus' needs and an advocate beyond what I thought he was capable of.
I am home for the moment, I have a friend helping me tonight while H gets some sleep. I really need good healing vibes please, I am in a lot of pain and REALLY ache for my baby.
I will post the full birth story sometime next week. My mom is on her way to help me. Until then, here is a crappy camera phone pic of my sweet strong little man.
