How to stop dyed wool from running?

I bought a wool cover that has been dyed and it runs a bit. How do I get it to stop?

I guess that depends on what it was dyed with? Procion? KoolAid?

Dye bonds to wool in an acid environment. I suggest soaking your cover in a warm bath of vinegar and water. Don't agitate it and rinse it in warm water as well.

Hopefully that will solve your problems. You could also contact the person who dyed the wool to see if they have any suggestions. And there are some colors, like bright red, that tend to bleed just by their nature.
