Monday March 3rd I went in for a routine docs appt I was 2 days past my edd, I was expecting to be in and out and to be scheduled for my induction on saturday. Well, that obviously diddnt happen.
I went to the exam room and the same doctor I previously had issues with walked in the room, she measured the baby and we listened to the hb and she checked me, 1cm still. She told me she diddnt feel comftorable waiting till saturday and I needed to go straight to the hospital for a bpp and to get more gels on my cervix. After 15 minutes af argueing with her I finally agreed to go.So I left the Dr.s office picked up my babysitter dropped her off at my house and picked up dh. I told dh to drop me off and go to work. I checked myself in and found out my favorite dr was on call so she would be the one to deliver (or so we thought)
They did the u/s everything was perfect, you could even see his hair!
After the u/s the nurse put me on the moniters and we discovered I was contracting on my own every 7-10 minutes. She put the first round of gels on my cervix, I got up and walked around for about 2 hours off and on contractions got more noticeable by the time I was done with the first round I was at 3cm and dealing great with the contractions, same routine with gel #2 only by the time I was done with that one I was at almost 5cm!!All of a suddenthe contractions stopped so they started the pitocen by this time it was 9pm and I was getting tired, I had already been there for 11 hours. So they started the pit and after about 2 hours of that I asked for the epi, finally 45 minutes later the guy shows up and got me nice and comfy. aaaahhhhhh relief!! I slept for a few hours and woke up at 3am andasked to be checked....Damn, still almost 5cm and 50% effaced. So I went back to sleep.About 5 am the baby's heart rate kept dropping to the low 90's so they decided to put an internal moniter on the baby, during that time they found me to be 8cm! All of a sudden the epidural lost its effect and I felt EVERYTHING FROM THAT POINT ON!!!! 5 minutes after she checked me I told her I felt pressure and I needed to push, so she let me do a practice push and told me Im not an effective pusher (huh,little did she know he would make his appearance in no time!) She told me to push if I felt like it (not thinking I would make any progress) I told her before I started to push she needed to call the doc in and she was like " the doc is only 2 doors down I'll call her when you make progress".
So after one push I felt the baby's head drop into my vaginal canal and I told the nurse the baby was coming I asked dh if he could see the head and at first he said no then a second later he yelled at the nurse that the babies head was coming! She diddnt believe us and finally by the time she looked his head was crowning! She panicked!!! She kept telling me to stop pushing and to breathe but there was no way I could stop pushing. The dr came in as baby logan slipped out! I pushed for less than 3 minutes and brought my beautiful baby boy into this world!!

That's one beautiful baby - I love the last pic! I have a similar pic of my oldest DS right after birth sticking his tongue out like that!
