12 days late, and after a little more than a 24 hour labor, I brought my ds Zachary into the extrawomb world.

Having some serious trouble trying to add him to our bed with a toddler who refuses to fall asleep unless MY arm is under her head.

Any suggestions?

Congratulations and weclome to Zachary!

Unfortunately I have no ideas for the cosleeping issue, but I absolutely hope you can get it figured out quickly and easily.

Not in your DDC, but we've done a lot of co-sleeping. What's the problem with the toddler and baby? Not knowing where to position each child or does the baby not want to lay with you while you're laying with your toddler?

We've always used a 2-bed combo. King bed for dh and I (baby in the middle) and a twin side-carred for the toddler. We work on getting the toddler used to the twin bed (previously used to being between dh and I) about 1/2-way through the pregnancy. If my toddler needed my arm under her head, I'd be able to do this with her on one side (on her twin bed or in the "crack" between our beds) and with the baby on the other side (in the middle of the king bed).

Congratulations, I am sure he was worth the wait!

Will your toddler accept dh's arm? We switched ds over to dh's side of the bed and now they snuggle all night. We have two sidecars, one on each side of the bed, and nobody is using them.
