What Would You Say to Emily Gillette?

If you had the opportunity to speak with Emily Gillette (the woman who was kicked off the Freedom/Mesa flight), what would you say?

I will be meeting her in person on Monday since she will be back in Vermont for her hearing with the Vermont Human Rights Commission, and I would love to pass on some sentiments.

I would thank her for standing up for a mama's right to breastfeed and a baby's right to eat, and for doing it with dignity and grace.

I'd say to her, "I love your balls! I mean boobs! Rock on!"

I wish her strength as the process continues, and thank-you for standing her ground.

I am impressed with what I've read about how she handled the whole stupid event.

Pass on a if that is appropriate.

As a college student without children I would thank her for paving the way for myself and other future mothers and being brave enough to stand up for herself, her child, and in essence all of our children.

Say...

Your brave action improved thousands of lives of moms and babies everywhere, since you encouraged better treatment for the lactating pair.

Say "Hi" from "Janice in Canada" and keep up the good fight!!! Tell her to let us know if she needs anything more - and to keep us updated on what is happening with her case.

The YouTube video featuring the "Delta" Nurse-In (and other Nurse-Ins) is up to 35,000 hits.

Tell her thank you. Her story helped reinforce my commitment to lactivism.
