Did you or will you do an "hospital outfit"? - Page 2

With ds he had a special prefold. I got it as a RAOK and still don't know who it came from. We had TTCed for a long time and this prefold had the word "dream" painted on it.

It was summer and an outfit was impractical for the weather. With another summer baby coming we might do the same thing again.

one of the beautiful parts of a homebirth is that you can stay cuddled up in bed with baby for as long as you want- no rush to move somewhere else. so that means you can both stay naked!

skin-to-skin contact is especially important right after the birth, but also has lots of benefits for baby during the time after.

if you're comfortable with it, i highly recommend doing as much of this as possible during the next day or two after the birth. my babe was a winter baby, so this didn't last too long, but hopefully with my next i will try to do it more.

Diapering fanatic so i'll probably have an extra cute cloth diaper picked out, with an outfit/blankie combo to revolve around it. LOL But babe will be in just a dipe for a long time, we will be snuggling! (and it will be july)

We had things picked out both times, but both times the babies were just too tiny to go into what I'd picked out, so we put them in what fit. Don't know why I didn't just pick out a premie size the second time around since that's basically what I needed with my first.
