Commissioning a Christmas ornament?

I apologize as this probably isn't the place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone knows how I could go about commissioning a Christmas ornament?

We'd like to get DD a handcrafted Christmas ornament every year symbolizing an important milestone that she passed through in the previous year, but I'm at a loss as to how to go about it. Does anyone know of resources for seeing artist's/artisan's work and how to find out if they take small commissions like an ornament?

Depending on what you want, you might try etsy. There's a spot on the board where you can put custom requests up for bid. You could also poke around in there until you find an artist you like, then contact them directly.

Good luck!

I was going to suggest the same thing. It's called alchemy on Etsy. You could also check the WAHM Well forum guidelines. I think you can post there and people can PM you, since you asked.

At first I wasn't sure if your keyboards had malfunctioned: what or who is an "etsy?" Thank goodness for the magic of Google! That etsy board is incredible; it's just amazing what's out there. Thanks to both for putting me on to it!

We should have put a link...

The link to alchemy is in the top navigation bar, but it's always good to browse first.
