My kids have recently discovered this online book.
http://www.funbrain.com/journal/Jour...y=1&ThisPage=1 I'm wondering, for those of you that have read this, are they planning on posting book two online? Also, what do you think about the characters?

I'm replying quickly... my ds is reading the first book online and he used his allowance to buy #2. I have only read bits and pieces of it. Probably not on the top of my list for what I want him reading, but he really enjoys it and my dh seems to like it too. He tends to be pickier than I am when it comes to toilet humour and bad examples.

I don't know if the second one is going to be posted online or not. They do have an info page, though.

I in the camp that reading "just about anything" is all good for reading skills but I have to say parts of this book makes me think if it's sending the right message. I have "Frigley" in mind when I say this. He is a special needs kid that the author doesn't seem to write sensitively about. It made me feel glad that I was the one reading the book to them so we could discuss his special needs and the ways that Greg (main Character) sees him.

They are simple but cleverly written and I have to say we have enjoyed reading them. I guess they are not too popular yet with the homeschool tribe.
