Does the Birth Pool in a Box come with everything needed?

Does the birth pool in a box eco come with the hose and faucet adapter and all of that that I would need?

No.

You have to buy all that stuff separately. It would be much more expensive to buy it from them also.

You can look at the Birth Pool Resources thread which has instructions where to get what you need IRL or links to order it online for a lot cheaper.

Bummer. They shouldn't call it a birth pool in a box then if it doesn't come with everything. I will check with my midwife...she should have a hose and stuff because she has a birth pool, but not one I want to use.

I bought the deluxe accessory kit from WBI when I bought my BPIAB, mainly because I didn't want to have to deal with going multiple places to get everything. But honestly I'm sure you can get everything much cheaper (other than the pool) elsewhere.

And BPIAB is an accurate name IMO...it's not called Birth Pool and All Needed Accessories in a Box

You're going to need to buy your own hose. A midwife can't pump bloody birth water out of a pool with her hose then pass it on to a new client. Yuck!

Oh...I guess these are things I have to discuss with my midwife. So, even if a midwife has her own tub, the client always needs to provide her own hose then or something?

Yours might include a new one, most require the family to get their own. Even when I worked in a birth center the clients had to bring their own hose with them.

I didn't have to get my own hose. My midwife provided it. I never even saw it.

Don't worry if you have to get your own hose - they are only $10-$20, depending on the length you need.

You can get them at any Petsmart/Petco or aquarium store, or online at the link in the Birth Pool Resources thread.

I just have them get a regular garden hose. I really don't see a big deal with them.
