HELP! How do I get crayon off a chalkboard???

Mamas I need your wisdom! My girls used crayon on their chalkboard! (I know who did it, but no one is admitting to the sin - lol)

Does anyone know how to remove it? Help me, please!

I have used Goo Gone to remove crayon from walls and tables. I imagine it is similar to chalk board. I would try a small spot on a rag and rub it gently until it is gone. It is oily so you will probably have to clean the whole board spot off with some soap and water too.

If that doesn't work Home Depot sells chalkboard paint, you can always redo it. While you are at it you can paint ceramic flower pots with the chalkboard paint too. Nice teacher gift.

Good idea w/ the chalkboard paint! I googled (that is a verb now, right?) a little bit and found that using regular dish soap and hot water may do the trick. I'll try that first since I don't have any Goo Gone.

Try blowing a hair dryer at it. It melts the wax enough so you can just wipe it away. A dryer sheet works well too.. I think you get it wet first? Can't remember, I used it a loong time ago

Magic Eraser by mr. Clean will take it right off. And NO chemicals at all.

I've never owned one of these. I thought I saw a thread or article somewhere about skin contact causing rashes or burns? Makes me nervous since I have three little ones running around.

This was a bunch of silly people. It is a foam sponge, no chemicals whatsoever. It is slightly abrasive and if you or a child forcefully scrubs the skin it will get red. There is NOTHING that will cause a problem in these. I have MCS and this is one of the few mainstream products that I can safely use.

Yay! I'm gonna file that one away for future reference! I wonder if that will work to remove green crayon on my textured paint?!
