Making "fence"

Hope I'm posting this in the right forum. Mindful Home Management always overwhelms me.

I'm hoping to make some sort of safety fence to block off our very sloping driveway. I have seen them in catalogs but can't find one now to show what I'm comparing it to, but it would run across the unfenced portion of our yard, spanning the driveway, so that DD would at least have to slow down before running out into the street.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I know the ones I saw actually retracted, but it needn't be that complicated. I have a lot of old green wire from old compost heaps, and I'm thinking it would be ugly but maybe just putting two posts in the ground and sort of wrapping it around one side, with some sort of hook on the other?

Just looking for inspiration, I guess, before I start tearing up the backyard.

ETA: Found it, but don't want to spend over $100!

A roll of screen will run you 20$ at Home Depot... do you have some posts lying around to use? Or maybe get some lightweight posts a the Home Depot. You can most like make something for less than 50 dollars.

Or just get a set of those safety cones and line them up in the spot you want.
