Ugh. All (save baby) are sick!

Mini-vent here. This sucks! My ears hurt, my head hurts, my throat and my abs hurt from coughing all the time and my stupid cough keeps waking me up! We had a great birth last week and now we're all sick. Ds's cough & congestion are just hanging around (on 2 weeks now) but dh & I both got sick right after the birth. And can I just say, coughing your guts out when it feels like you're guts are falling out is really uncomfortable!! And now my Mom who was being such a sweet lovely mother helping us out has gotten sick, too! And, of course, underlying all of this is a fear that baby dd will get sick too. Argh, ugh and cusses.

I'm so sorry!!

I've been battling most of the month with my family being constantly sick, one thing after another. We're finally all feeling well, but I am very paranoid every time we go out somewhere, that someone will pick up something new! No fun to worry about a tiny little newborn getting sick, too.

I hope your DD will be protected with all the nursing!! Best wishes that your family will all be well as soon as possible.

I hope you all get better soon! Oldest DD got sick the morning after the new babe was born and then it spread from there. We all got it even the babe got the sniffles but that was it for her. The rest of us had sore throats and coughs oh it was bad. Healing vibes to you all!

It's actually very encouraging to hear that your baby got sick but not really sick. A big part of my anxiety stems from a good friends newborn having been hospitalized twice for RSV in her first 2 weeks. All because her big sister got sick the day she was born. So it's good to be reminded that the baby can get sick without gettibg really sick! (I feel like a first time mama all over again! : )
