HELP - Home Birth/Tricare - VBAC - Midwife Search

I tried posting this earlier and did not find that it was posted. None-the-less, I need help finding a way to have Tricare pay for a home birth. They told they will cover it, but 3 of the midwives within 50 miles of my location do not do Home Births. I had a birthing plan and went completely natural 20 hours labor with my first, however, the doc would not turn her and insisted on C-section. I don't want to be trapped into this again. I am waiting to see doc on base when I get all the facts together. Want a home birth, but would possibly consider birthing centers with alternative birthing methods. I am in South Puget Sound area (near Tacoma) in Washington. I can be contacted at [phone] if you have info. Don't get much time with a 20 month old to check e-mail. I am having a hard time finding a midwife too. I wont go to a hospital!
I did have my first VBAC at Madigan, they were great about it.

But if your heart is set on a homebirth, dont give up!

roadfamily6now: when you had the VBAC at Madigan were you the member or dependent. I'm leary of going to the doctor because so many people are afraid to have VBACs and Home Births. I am set on giving birth at home and it seems that I will not be able to get the Midwife paid for since I have to stay on Prime probably for the VBAC, so I am looking to pay out of pocket.
