I was wondering if mama cloth needs PUL or is micro fleece enough? THanks

None of my pads have it and I've add no problems whatsoever.

Mine are backed with fleece. I've never had a problem.

Nope. In fact, I've used cloth pads for years because I need the breathability. No point in adding synthetics to my cottons.

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like PUL may make the pads less breathable huh?

I recommend 100% cotton... completely comfy, no leaks for me!

i think this depends a ton on your flow.
mine is usually ok without PUL but i do need it for overnights. I have used (literally 15) different kids of pads for overnights without PUL and they just do not work for me. Even with changing them throughout the night... so while yes you might not need it. Keep your mind open in case you do.

I only have PUL on my postpartum pads. I needed it then, but don't usually.

I have lovely ones from Mother and Maiden (she's an MDC mama!) and they are topped with organic velour and backed with wool.

I don't use PUL - not necessary at all!
