When the big news about contaminated pet food broke, I started wondering about this. They said they found melamine in the food, used as a sort of substitute for protein.
Tons of children's dishes are made with melamine. Is there a difference? We have one set for DD that we bought before knowing anything about green living, and the IL's just bought another. (Apparently they think the no-plastic rule is for toys only..)
Should I get rid of it? I've been wanting to buy her bamboo plates for awhile, but I hate getting rid of perfectly usable dishes if they really aren't toxic...
