Any homeschoolers who provide daycare???

I am wondering if anyone here HS their own kids but also provides daycare for other families.

We will start to HS in September with our (then) 8 yr old and 5 yr old.

I am wondering what special things you did or do to accomodate everyone.

I should add that we will be taking an eclectic approach. Mostly unschooling with the exception of math and language (my son struggles with this so we will do some table work each week).

I will also be working mostly only Monday to Wednesday with only the occassional Thursday or Friday. I also have 5 daycare children on the days that I do provide care.

I am just looking for some insight so I can plan ahead and put anything into action that I might need ahead of time.

I do some, pretty much vacation stuff for my kids' schooled friends. there parents are all OK with me teaching their kids ( I'm schooly) or requiring them to read while I teach. The cool field trips they get to go on are a bonus!

I have five families that I do part-time childcare for. Things like art, music, science... I work the extra kids into. When it's something where ds has a workbook lesson to do, the other kids go in the playroom while he works in the dining room. We plan field trips for days when I'll only have one or two extra kids.

Interesting. I would like to do this if we don't manage to move until the market picks up. I am in the process of becoming licensed now. I am just concerned because I will be home-bound since I don't have a minivan. I am thinking I would have to let go of completely unschooling though since we would be spending quite a bit of time at home.
