Introduce Yourself! - Page 2

hi i'm cat...and i'm actually due around november 29, but since both my girls were a couple days late i thought i'd check in here too... i'm planning another hombirth/waterbirth. i'm considered an "older" mom...will be 43 when this babe is born but i don't feel a day over 30.. i actually feel healthier than with either of the girls..

this will be my 4th child. my oldest is 21 and then i have our girls, ages 5 and 2.5.. big span there! they are awesome kids though and my son just loves his little sisters to death.. so i'm very lucky...

i'm starting to get that familar m/s...the beginning where it threatens to show up any moment..if i don't eat i have heaved though.. my bbs are starting to get more tender (i'm still nursing my youngest), and i'm just exhausted!! that full feeling in my lower tummy and back...i'm starving all the time but can't find what it is i want..haha what i really want to do is lay down with my knitting and start on some baby stuff, but i'm superstitious about starting that stuff too early...and i take care of 2 other kids during the day, so no laying around...

we are very excited about this baby, and i think it's just now sinking in that we are in fact pg...even after 7 positive tests! the first one being at 11dpo and very dark already...whew!

Hi Everyone! I'd like to give you all huggs and say congrats!
I just took a pg test about an hour ago and it's positive, although a very faint positive. I'm freaking.
This will be baby #4 for us.After having a mc back on Halloween 2006 I thought we were done. Surprise-Surprise! Not exactly sure when my EDD is yet.
I cannot believe I just saw those two pink lines!
So many things are going through my head...I just went back to work three months ago after being a SAHM for 6 years. I wonder if I'll be able to keep up with my high paced crazy graveyard shift schedule?
I've been having symptoms, sore chest, tired, really crabby, super hungry...I just hope that I can keep the sickies at bay.
Congrats again everyone! :

Hi, I'm Rachel and I due around Dec. 3. This is my second pregnancy and I am really hoping that this time things go better. With Lilly I was sick non-stop the entire pregnancy. I felt so horrible that I could barely even go to work and that was with medication. I ended up with pre-eclampsia and had Lilly by emergency c-section at 29 weeks. So far I am feeling okay, just a little tired, but last time I didn't get sick until 6 weeks, so we will see how it goes.

hi, i have 2 girls and am still a little stunned that we are expecting a third child. i alternate between panic & excitement on an hourly basis...:
i'm still nursing DD2, and plan to continue for the time being.
DH and i are a little older (i'm 38, he's a lot older), so i guess that aspect makes us more nervous about this than anything else. anyhow, i'm sure glad to have a place to vent!

I have created a roll call thread which I will ask to be made into a sticky.

Please feel free to continue introducing yourselves at length here. I am including in the roll call thread screen name, real name (if you gave it), and due date (if you gave it). Plus if you want a goofy emoticon in front of your name, I'll throw that in too for fun. (Like I gave myself : but really I should have put : BECAUSE IT'S SUPPOSED TO SNOW 8 INCHES BEFORE THIS STORM IS OVER!!!! Argh!

Hi! I'm Sarah. I'm 32. My husband is 38 and we have two sons, age 6 and 19 months. We've dealt with infertility with both of their conceptions and this one was a total shock. I hate hormonal birth control so we've been not trying and not preventing since December. I'm due Dec 3rd. I cloth diaper and breastfeed at least a year but I'm pretty open minded. I'm looking forward to being a part of this community.

Guess I'll be joining in. Seems we're in for another December baby. I'm Kerri. DH Jared and I have 1 together, and 1 who well, may as well be. We were kinda not trying, not preventing, and I havne't even told him yet. We're due on 12/11 - my mom's birthday I'm excited and nervous as DD has some serious food issues and after a year on crazy diets had to be weaned to medical food and a g-tube, and I so want BFing to not be complicated this time around. Planning another HB/WB

Hi, I'm here too. I'm due in early December, will be saying "first half of December" to family.

This will be #3 for me and dh. Our oldest is almost 8, #2 is almost 4, and this will be my 2nd VBAC. I just found out about a really cool natural-birth-friendly doctor/midwife team that I'm going to interview soon.

We're probably telling family and our kids in about 3 weeks--we have people coming from out of town to celebrate #1's birthday and I will likely be too sick to pretend I'm normal.

I'm thinking about what it would be like to have a girl but also 3rd boy thoughts too, I don't want to get all dead set on having a girl and then be super disappointed if that's not the way it goes. I like to sew and I have some super cute baby boy-ish pirate flannel that I bought a while ago...

I'm already getting winded easily, have tender breasts and what I think is round ligament pain here and there. I'm a bit hungry too and am trying to eat while it's still enjoyable. Last 2 times I got morning sickness right at week 5.

I am so beyond excited to be pregnant and due in December (the 8th to be exact)! I want nothing more than to labor under my Christmas tree this year!

We lost a baby a year ago April 11th and I have waited one loooooong year to begin this journey again. So many blessings came from waiting and I'm glad we did but I'm so glad we don't have to wait anymore!

I have a 2 year old dd and this is going to be my first homebirth which doubles the excitement!

So, Hi everyone!

Well I guess I won't be joining you ladies...I got my blood test back today and it was negative. Oh well. I really thought that this was it. Have a happy and healthy nine months.

Hi Ladies,

I'm Hannah, I love in the NW US with my DH of 8 years, 6 y/o DD, 4 y/o DS, and my baby DS2 who is 18 months.

I just found out this morning that we're expecting #4! This pg was totally unexpected and unplanned, but we're both excited

I took a test this morning intending to take a digital pic with it and make it look like a positive to play an April Fools joke on my Mom and sister...well, imagine my total shock when it actually came up +!

So here I am, 11dpo and my EDD is Dec 12th. (Both DH and my b-days are in Dec as well )

DS is still nursing quite a bit, but it's usually lots of quicker 'snacks'. I think I'll probably gradually wean him in the next several months (I nursed DS1 till right before DS2 was born).
Both of my DS's were homebirths, DS2 was also a waterbirth which I am most definitely planning on again this time; it was great!

Jen, I think my favorite icon (next to the treehugger one) is

So my name is Candy I live 30 miles outside of Seattle WA. This is my second child. Bryce was taken by sids November 29th 2007. My DDC w/ him was amazing and they are still a huge support.

My DH Michael doesn't know yet I tested at 5 am and figured I'd ley him sleep. I can only pray for a healthy baby.

Hi, I'm Tasha. DH and I have Jakob, who will be 3 in October. We live in central Illinois at the moment, but dh will be (finally!) finishing his undergrad degree in biblical studies. He felt the call to be a pastor in the Fall last year. So, we'll be moving to the north Chicago suburbs sooner rather than later, hopefully.

Our marriage has been literally turned upside down in the last few months, and it's in a FANTASTIC way. We praise the Lord every day for his blessings of late!

Oh, this is SO me : morning, noon, and night....even when I'm not pg

So sorry about your little Bryce.

I also live about 30 miles outside of Seattle, but more north, in Sultan. That's east of monroe. So cool to have someone nearby!

I am Jaime and I am a SAHM to 3 right now and just found out this morning that #4 will be here early Dec. I have been married to DH since July 99 and have an almost 6yo, a 4yo and one that will be 2 in June.

Hi folks...
I'm Jess. I'm 29 (!today! - it's my birthday) and am cautiously pregnant with my first. (I can't believe that I'm writing this!!!) I say cautiously because my period isn't due until the weekend so I don't want to be counting my chickens before they're hatched.

Anyway, I'm soooo happy to be here. DP and I have been trying to get me knocked up using fresh donor sperm since August last year. I was just starting to freak out and think it wasn't going to happen.

DP is freaking out a little right now but I know she'll be fine in a day or 2. She might be right about having to find a bigger house though ...

So my EDD is December 14 and I think I'll just tell people that I'm due the week before Christmas.

This is all so surreal. And Wonderful

I just found out today!!

Hi,
I just had a faintly positive test this morning and I can't say I even quite believe it yet. I am thrilled to be pregnant for the third time (if I really am). My second was born at home and my labor was so short and amazing! It was an hour and a half. I loved being at home, and I can't wait to do it again. I didn't join a dd club with my last pregnacy and it is something that i was looking forward to. I live in central Pa and still haven't told anyone else yet. It feels so good to share.
Best wishes for all of you!
PS my DH starts grad school in September. He is a little freaked out about the timing. I would love some stories.
