First Menstruation Blessingway

My daughter is giving my grandaughter a Blessingway for having reached the first plateau of womanhood. I think this is a wonderful introduction to the power of women for her and all her favorite women will be there. I have purchased 2 beads for her necklace - moonstone and pink quartz.

I love the idea of this ritual, however, I come from a negative experience with my own periods - both physically and emotionally. I would like to give her (Amber) a blessing that will be meaningful to her and something she will remember. I'd like to give her something to "call up" whenever she is feeling like she needs a lift.

Has anyone been to a First Menstruation Blessingway? Have you heard any really nice blessings you can share?

I'd also like to point you to this post regarding the use of the term "blessingway." It's a very specific word used to describe a Dine ceremony and is inappropriate to use in another context. The first post linked above offers many suggestions for better terms to use.

I am making a necklace for my dd and also plan to give her a basket full of organic cotton pads-she won't use cloth at school or soccer practice- and nice organic moisturisers, facial cleanser, etc
She wants to go out to eat with me and a few of my women friends and their daughters.
I think, for her development aand behavior, this is going to be soon!!
