My nephew turns 11 this week and I'm struggling with a gift idea for him. I was thinking of a magazine subscription but have no idea what's appropriate. Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

None of mine are 11 but they are close so....

My son is 12 (just turned in Dec). He likes Sports Illustrated, Outdoor Life, Field and Stream and things like that.

My Son who is 10 likes pokemon and neopet magazines and loves legos.

For magazine subscriptions he may like Nickelodeon Magazine or Boy's Life. Sports Illustrated for kids is another good choice.

Sports Illustrated Kids and National Geographic Kids are also good. You can go to www.magazines.com and there is a section for children's magazines.

I would call the mom and see how she feels about the regular SI. I think it is a lot better than SI for kids and it is pretty appropriate for all ages, except for maybe the swimsuit edition.

I wouldn't get a mag subscription unless you know what he's interested in. Talk to Mom and get some ideas.
