Bathroom remodeling

Thread Starter
We're remodeling a bathroom, and I've been looking for ways to make it more environmentally friendly, but not crazy expensive. Can anyone point me towards some good resources, or some advice?
TIA!

It depends on what you're wanting to do in there.
  • Use low or no VOC's paints if your painting.
  • Install energy effient lighting and/or a sky light.
  • Ideally you wouldn't replace something that isn't broke but if replacing the toliet get a dual flush or low water toliet.
  • Low water shower heads are also available.
  • For flooring, bamboo is sustainable and linoleum is also a good green option.
  • If you really want to go all out you could instal a gray water collection system under the sink.
  • Use recycled materials for counter tops.
Do a search on Treehugger.com for bathroom remodels. They would probably have some other good ideas and products.
