Ohh boy

So this morning, actually, in a couple hours, we're driving what would be an 8 hour drive, if you didn't have to stop, down to Kentucky. We're meeting DP's brother halfway between our places. Their mom rented a little cabin thing there in a national park for us all to stay and go hiking and rock climbing. Coming back Sunday.

I can't sleep! On the one hand I'm so excited, to see DP's brother (his brother and I were friends since childhood, I didn't get to know his little brother DP until much later ) and for the lack of snow and nicer weather to warm my soul. On the other hand I am *extremely* nervous. About the drive, if DP's mom will get the next exit any time Kaia needs us, about staying.. DD's cold.. I hope maybe the warmer weather for 4 days will help her get over that, and that the traveling won't be detrimental to it.

Also I'm a little nervous that I may have a prolapse going on I'm not sure, and waiting on insurance to be able to go to a doctor. I'm having a lot of pain though, and I kind of feel like sometimes I need to put pressure on my crotch to feel ok walking after I've been up for awhile. And doing so makes the pain stop. If *feels* like I'm dropping out of myself. I recently starting getting pain again like what happens when your LO first starts nursing, that kind of crampy, cervical pain. But I don't have to be nursing.. And I started bleeding today again? With a few blood clots as well. Everything just doesn't feel okay. I don't really know what any of these things could mean, and I'm a little worried about hiking and everything. Trying not to worry because I know it will be at least a week before I will be able to even make an appointment.

Anyway, looking for some good : for our trip and my body, wish me luck!

Don't freak about prolapse yet! I've already done that! I have some degree of prolapse with my bladder and probably uterus as well. I have gone through hell with my emotions about this for the past few weeks, only to come to the conclusion that it isn't as bad as it seems. It's actually not that uncommon! There is a pelvic organ prolapse thread in Birth and Beyond- thanks to Flapjack for pointing me in the right direction there. Also, check out wholewoman.com. It is an amazing site with lots of info that you won't find anywhere else. I read the book, and it was extremely illuminating! If you get checked out, don't be surprised if they recommend surgery- they like to do that. But that can cause a lot of problems and isn't even a permanent fix. Many women live with prolapse, and some have great results healing themselves. I have already noticed some improvement since practicing the posture recommended in the Whole Woman book. So there is much that can be done, and you're not alone!

Have a great time on your trip- I wish I were going! I love Kentucky! Here's hoping that it all goes smoothly for you! :

the visit sounds great! i hope the drive goes alright! as long as she likes car ride you should be okay. my dd hated the car/carseat and vacation (a normally 8 hour drive) took 12-13 hours when she was 8 months old. aahhhh memories! i'm sure it will be easier than that for you!

i hate to say it but i agree that it sounds like a prolapse. take it easy hiking, so it doesn't get aggitated. there is an organ prolapse thread in birth and beyond, it you have time you might want to check it out before you go.

have a great time!
