Even in my most hard-core tv watching days, I would have traded the tv for a house on a lake in a heart beat! Is there a "green with envy" smiley on here?
Enjoy your new place!

I'm definetely a TV free wannabe. My dh would never go for it, w/ football, racecars & such. I was doing TV free w/ ds#1 before ds#2 was born but honestly i let them watch 1-2 hours a day so i can get things done. I don't know how else i'd keep them occupied. Is there a tired smiley....

We are not tv free, and I decided that we will try when the National TV free week comes up in a couple of weeks. My dd marked it on the calendar so I am happy that she is on board w/it (at least for now anyways).

I'd like us to be TV-Free, but we're having a hell of a time convincing Comcast that we only want cable internet, NOT cable TV. What really pushed me over was the mandate that everything on TV go digital by 2009. I hate the fact that lots of indie stations are going to be pushed off the airwaves. So I'm giving myself the goal to be TV-Free (but not movie-free) by 2009.

we are semi tv free no cable for almost 5 years and no network channels since Nov! My kids do watch dvd's. but I am trying to decrease that too.

I'm a wannabe!!

Actually, the writer's strike decreased our tv watching by quite a bit. I told dh today that I'm not even going to start back in on "our" shows because I don't want to get hooked again.

I don't think we'll ever be tv-free because of dh, but I'm actively trying to decrease the amount I watch and ds watches. Right now ds1 watches tv whenever ds2 is sleeping because it keeps him quiet. I have been finding SOME other things for him to do/us to do but I don't know how else to fill up all that time.

Wannabes here too. Our big problem is that we love to watch our college team play football. We might just get cable for football season and then ditch it otherwise. It's hard to decide.

During the first tri of this pgcy I let DS watch tv b/c I was so sick and miserable and couldn't do *anything* - and now we're weaning off of that addiction

DH and I totally don't care about tv at all, except for football season and occasional movies (which we can watch on a laptop)

I'm a wannabe. I keep my kids almost entirely TV free. They spend 30% of their time with their father who lets them watch some. They are also with grandparents who let them watch a bit.

I personally watch about an hour a week.
