Initially, what grips me in this piece is that the woman is faceless. Contrary to the sort of eery quality that facelessness usually conveys, in your image, it seems like a direct path to seeing myself in her face. It might be because the piece is so bright and cheery and comfortable to me that this was my first response to it- I don't know for sure. Standing on the earth, rays of light streaming in every direction originating from her, she is powerful and steady and sure, very strong.
I think it's a beautiful image. I think that many women seeing her will place their own faces in hers. Very nicely done

I also appreciate the simplicity of shapes and lines in the image. The contrast of warm light over the cool, calm hues of the earth she stands upon really highlights the certainty of her footing in that by contrast, the place her feet are planted is calm, relaxed- not flying into the viewers eyes like the beams of light do (which achieves the feeling of power and strength and the intensity of birth in the image, I think), and in viewing this, I expect the earth to stay that way for her.
Please post your next one!
ETA: I just want to keep looking at it!!! I wanted to add that is has a madonna and child-like quality- serene and yet so strong.
