Sorry for taking so long to reply, and thanks for taking the time to spotlight me. Let's see.

1. How am I feeling today? Uhh...kinda achy, tired, the whole 37 week anticipation, and wondering if I am going to skip nesting altogether this time around.

2. My username is my first name, Amani, and my husband's last name, Esa. I still use my "maiden name" and don't plan to change it IRL, so my cyber names are as close as I get.

3. this is my 2nd child. My first is my daughter Zakiyyah, who is 25 mos old.

4. I'm planning a hospital water birth, with a very caring and attentive mw.

5. I'm kinda embarrased to say the closest i've gotten to leaving the country is going to New York several times.

Besides some petty shoplifting when I was a preteen, no. Oh, I frequently remove the tags from pillows and mattresses. I find them annoying


Most embarrassing moment? The fact that I constantly mispronounce English words, coupled with the fact that I was an English major is a constant embarrassment for me...


Do you know anyone in the military? My mother's best friend's son is in the navy. Does that count?

Hi fellow English major!

Well, I've worked in an admissions office, and I've taught English. I took some courses towards my MA, and plan to continue them online. I found a great program that will allow me to finish online through a brick and mortar school, and if all goes as planned I'll start with one class in June.

It's soo hard to choose my favorite author/book. I go through different phases... I like Jhumpa Lahiri, Toni Morrison, Laila Halaby...everything I probably won't get a chance to read when I start my MA up again

1. I loove to bake, b/c sugar makes ppl happy! Really though, I like to bake for friends and family.

2. I like to knit, and craft, I also want to learn to sew and crochet, but that might have to be put on the back burner until LO is old enough for me to take a class.

3. I guess just walking on the beach along the Atlantic ocean at dawn with my DH, and praying and just feeling totally peaceful. I don't know when I'll get the chance to do that again.
