Okay here is this weeks menu:

Monday: Leftover sheeskabobs(sp?) tossed into alfredo served over linguine.
Tuesday: Grilled hamburgers, oven fries, corn
Wednesday: Baked fish and parmesan couscous with spinach
Thursday: Grilled chicken skewers with peanut dipping sauce ,brocolli
Friday: spagetti,corn,garlic bread
Saturday: crockpot pinto beans(only I will eat these probably ) ,corn bread
Sunday: Chicken and brocolli stir fry with homemade eggrolls

Breakfast: english muffins with macadamia butter, egg sanwiches, green smoothies, cereal, OAMC breakfast burritos

Lunch: left overs, turkey sandwiches, left overs

Snacks: banana bread, oamc pizza rolls, brownies, hummus and carrots, popcorn

Sunday (last night)- Tuscan chicken "chili", salad, corn bread

Monday: Roast chicken in soy sauce, bread, broccoli

Tuesday: Ds has performance so we're having a pizza party before the show

Wednesday: Ground turkey stroganoff, green beans and carrots

Thursday: Tostadas made with crock pot beans from the freezer

Friday: Red beans and rice with sausage, bread, salad and melon

Saturday: Hamburgers on the grill, potato salad, and fruit salad

Ok I've redone mine yet again. I'm going to try shopping once a week instead of every 2 weeks and see if that saves me some money from the little trips for bread that end up costing me $45.

I'm getting started on meal planning. I started one today, after going through my pantry and realizing that I always forgot what I have, so buy more, so at the moment I have disproportionate amounts of a few items.

I'm enjoying this meal planning thing, and plan to implement some other people's ideas into the way I do things, especially courtenay_e's. Very good ideas all around. I'll be back and post about my plan when I get it in a good place.

Lunch: Egg Sandwiches on English muffins, fruit
Supper: Pizza w/ pineapple

Monday 4-21
Supper: Burgers, sweet potato fries, salad

Tuesday 4-22
supper: Egg sandwiches, fruit

Wednesday 4-23
Supper: Grilled cheese sandwiches, soup

Thursday 4-24
Supper: Brats/Hot dogs, salad, carrots
soup and yogurt for me (I'm getting my wisdom teeth out!)

May I join in? I just started my meal planning adventure, last week was my first and I did very well. I leave all items subject to change according to what is going on with our family, but we only ventured away one time last week, had burgers instead of tacos, but didn't have to buy anything.

Here's our week starting tomorrow:

Sun: Ravioli lasagna, salad with garlic lemon dressing, garlic bread(wow this meal has lots of garlic, yum)

Mon: Beef and broccoli stir-fry, with rice(making extra for Wed)

Tues: Chicken fajitas with all the fixins

Wed: Parmesan Pork Chops(new recipe), rice, copper coin carrots

Thurs: Creamy veggie linguini(never made this either), salad, garlic bread

Fri: Homemade pizza topping to be decided

Sat: Cook's choice, depends on what strikes my fancy

All meals can be prepared with what I have at home, my goal is to not have to buy groceries until next weekend. I will have to go buy coffee Monday, but I'm getting a bulk bag and we may need cream for it. Other than that we are stocked. Also I have a goal of at least one new recipe a week using the items we have.

Here is ours for this week:

20 - Fried Tilapia, Salad, not sure on the other veggie yet (never fried anything either so I'm not sure how this will turn out! I just wanted something different than the normal baking I do with it)
21 - Country Ham & Macaroni Casserole, Peas
22 - BBQ Pork Chops, Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes (hubby is cooking Tuesday's pork chops, Wednesday's & Thursday's chicken, and the sweet potatoes for Tuesday and Thursday all on the grill this night - need quick stuff with the baby around!)
23 - BBQ Chicken, Corn, Salad
24 - Chicken & Corn Chowder with Sweet Potatoes
25 - Leftovers
26 - Chicken & Broccoli Pie
27 - Veggie Quesadillas, Guacamole

I've been meal planning for months and am just now entering this forum : I was sitting down to plan out the rest of the month for the grocery list and came here for some dinner ideas. I don't assign dates to the meal, I just hang the meal list on the fridge and pick one for that day. It really takes the stress out of everything! I don't know how I dealt with winging it for so many years, and it eases up on the grocery bill.

Here's mine:
* Chicken fajitas
* Subs
* Ziti
* Sloppy joe's, baked fries or salt potatoes
* hm pizza or Calzones (can't decide)
* Mushroom burgers/hamburgers, veggie side
* baked chicken, mashed potatoes, veggie side
* pork stir fry w/ rice
* Italian sausage, fries, spinach salad
* Shrimp & chicken alfredo (we're stocked w/ meat, so this is a splurge I am craving )
* soft tacos
* toasted cheese with tomatoes and soup
* left over night

When deciding I kind of go by things like "We need to use this broccoli up" or "I'm tired, what can I do that's easy". I really like my system. :

I'm so ready to get back into meal planning. I used to be really good about it and then we had some major life changes...you know how that goes. I'm back on track now and I'll be stealing ideas from this thread. Although I "assign" days to my meals, I sometimes switch them around if I feel like it. I also always have easy backups on hand just in case. My goal is to try one new recipe each week and I'm armed with a stack of books and print outs! Here goes...

Monday: Beef Curry
Tuesday: Meatloaf and mashed potatoes
Wednesday: Grilled Chicken, veggies
Thursday: Penne with Parmesean chicken, salad
Friday: Burgers, corn on the cob

Weekend: Leftovers, easy/quick foods (homemade pizza, homemade chicken fingers and fries, etc.)

Sun: "Weeknight" steak with veggies in wine sauce, salad(this was my new recipe for the week)made extra steak for Wed
Mon: Grilled chicken breasts, grilled veggie medley, rice,s salad
Tues: Tacos w/ all the fixins(yum)
Wed: Peachy beef stir-fry w/ rice(made this up so another new recipe)
Thurs: Pizza, probably Hawaiian style
Fri: Super taco salad
Sat: BBQ at my Dad's

I am LOVING meal planning, it takes all the hassle out of what do we eat, and makes it fun on Sunday when DH and I decide what sounds good with what we have. I love having a weekly menu, but I'm leaving it on a weekly basis, I don't need to be ultra organized, just somewhat, plus I shop weekly so I can plan around sales.
