Is there such a thing?? I've been searching and searching.. but to no avail!!

There has to be money out there somewhere for young women wishing to pursue midwifery.. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks.

have you checked into Ancient Art Midwifery? They have the most comprehensive education while being the most affordable. I highly recommend it!

If there are grants, I never heard of them though I'd hoped.

As for AAMI, you can join some of the yahoogroups listed on the website and participate in the monthly quizzes to possibly qualify for discounts.

it depends on route of study, I think that for CNMs there are Federal Pell grants as well as low interest loans.
For direct entry mws probably depends on accredidation , Seattle school students I believe are elegible for Federal grants and aid. and there are probably others

as far as some direct entry study, I know a mw who got a grant from one of the local women's organizations, she put together her request and presented it and they gave her the money.
